Hi
No. Compared to all other management entrance exams like CAT, GMAT, XAT, SNAP, TANCET is very much easy. To get admission to PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, it is not compulsory to appear for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). However, TANCET scores are used as a basis for admission to certain postgraduate programs offered by the college, such as MBA, M.E. , and M.Tech. Although all government engineering colleges consider admission only through TANCET counseling for the candidates who also fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Hi,
If you have a score of 85 per cent in one of your exams, but your score is higher than 95 per cent of all students, then your percentile score will 96, as you have achieved better performance than 96 per cent of all students. TANCET Score and percentile score are different but they are both important. The cutoff is the minimum score that a candidate needs to secure in the exam for admission by participating institutes. TANCET cut off for top universities/colleges/institutes is expected to be between 35 and 70 for general category candidates.
