All of the guys answering here about B.Sc IT and B.Tech are mostly from the so commonly degree called B.Tech. So it's obvious that they will all favor B.Tech and discourage B.Sc IT. But let me tell you one thing there is no such difference between both of these, the difference just lies in the mentality of folks who are answering here.
If you have a good knowledge of database, software and programming languages, then there is a lot scope of getting a high paying job in IT industry and a B.Sc IT degree with great depth of knowledge is preferred over the copy paste studies of B.Tech students who just have a degree, no understanding.

Last year (2017), my friend got 219 marks in JEE Mains Paper 2 and 81% in 12th from CBSE Board and he belongs to OBC category. His Gen rank was 9243 and OBC rank was 3800, still, he didn't get any college. So, I think for a general candidate, the score must be above than 250 if Board marks are not included.
All the best.

Yes, even after 3 attempts you did not get what you wanted, there is surely something bigger waiting for you. Take time and plan out what you want in future and go accordingly. Humanities is not a bad option, it comes with so many opportunities. If you believe you have the potential, go for it. Later on, you may appear for UPSC.

Hi Saima,
Her admission will depend on the cutoff announced by the participating colleges. If her marks are in the cutoff criteria, then she will. Do try for other private colleges too, they are equally good.

Yes, you can give JEE Mains exam. You need to choose between the offline and online mode. Most of the students used to go for the offline mode but now the trend is changing. The reason for this is that the offline mode of JEE Mains is conducted just after the 12th board exam giving the students very little time revise but on the other hand the online mode is conducted after the offline JEE Mains exam is over, giving the students a few more days to go through all the important topics one last time. But choose according to your convenience.
