You surely try taking admission in food biotechnology but it'll not be an advisable step because food biotechnology is mostly biology and chemistry whereas you have a background in mechanical. So I think mechatronics will be a better option for you.
PS: food technology as a course is not available in ADYPU. We have food biotechnology.
