Generally, to be eligible for M.Tech courses it is advisable to attempt GATE as the test is administered by top technology institutes and many premium universities take admission on the basis of GATE exam. And there are very few institutes/universities which accept candidates without GATE. So, it is highly recommended to take GATE exam.
