Hi Anshul, as per you interest I would say that the scope of merchant navy in India is very promising one. The number of ship and cruise are increasing, also private giants are investing crores in ports,and sea trade.There is a boom in this sector with handsome salary package.
As you are about to complete B.Tech, you may join merchant navy directly if you have pursued your b.tech in marine engineering, mechanical, electrical, electronics & telecommunication, naval architect.
Except marine engineering candidates others have to undergo a 10 months pre-sea training which is offered by many institute and port trusts or recruitingcompany itself. After that you will be appointed as a 5th or junior engineer. It will take you 5-7 years depending in your own abilities for becoming 'chief engineer'.

Hi Aastha, the purpose of the M.Tech course is to give a specialized training in the field of engineering. M.Tech aspirants can apply for GATE exam as it is an all India test.
Generally, to be eligible for M.Tech courses it is advisable to attempt GATE as the test is administered by top technology institutes and many premium universities take admission on the basis of GATE exam. And there are very few institutes/universities which accept candidates without GATE. So, it is highly recommended to take GATE exam. But, in case of Indore if there are any deemed universities then they are only authorized to conduct their own examination.

Hi Vishwas, India holds UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruited. IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.
The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is graduation in any discipline from a recognized university/institute. And the age limit should be between 21 and 30 years.

In the present day scenario, job situation in UK and the whole of Europe is not very promising due to global economic turmoil and economic recession.
In order to practice as surgeon or doctor in UK, you need to clear the PLAB test. The PLAB test is the main route by which International Medical Graduates demonstrate that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to practise medicine in the UK.
You will need to pass the PLAB test before you can apply for registration with a licence to practise in UK.
