Videography is meant to be something with the camera and is not advised to be done through distance mode. The above things cannot be imparted through distance mode and that's is why it is not advised to have a course in acting or even anchoring through distance mode. These areas of expertise are not theory-based subjects and can never be made a theory based alone. The students need exposure and real-time experience. Screenwriting is related to film and TV where creativity and newness is the key to making your work known and successful. Where do we see distance learning as the foundation of such an exposure and development of creativity that we recommend a course through distance? I do not recommend a course of this type and kind and stature from any institution of the world through distance.
It is advised to dare to do this course from distance if only some platform to learn the same way and under expert supervision is already available or the person has been learning/has learnt the screenwriting, creative writing and now want to give it a certification so as to get some job which needs such a certificate as eligibility.
Distance mode has its own limitations and that's why we do not recommend that. Besides, Indian Distance Education has not reached that level of perfection where such courses can be made worth doing.

Bachelor Degree in mass comm. From distance learning is offered by numberless institutions and universities all over India and even abroad. There are online certifications as well. We need to give it a balanced view rather than simply rejecting one or approving.
Distance education is meant to substitute the absence of regular education of any Degree when the learner is, for all valid reasons, unable to pursue regular studies. Secondly, distance education is a better option when one already has skills to work with along with some experience as well.
Going by the description shared above, this is suggested that a distance learning degree in mass media (as well as any skill based and skill oriented course/subject) shall be avoided as much as possible.
This is also to be accepted that distance education has more failures in its credit in India. Just a couple of days back, Haryana Government terminated the services of those who did a technical degree through distance mode. It was as per Supreme Court ruling.
I wish to suggest that if possible, do this course as a regular student and from a good institution.

Modeling as a career in India is not very good, you will have to do a lot of struggle if you don't have a background from that industry, you don't know anyone and have no contacts in that industry, but yes, if you are passionate about it then you should surely give it a try because if you give your 100% to something you definitely will rock in that field. A good physique is really important to make a career in the modelling field. This is one of the most important parameters to become a good model, you should have a good physique. We all want to SEE hot models be it on the cover of any magazine, in any fashion show or an advertisement and brands plan according to what their customers want.

A Degree in Journalism is necessary these days to enter the ever-expanding domain of jobs and careers. The media houses need thousands of youngsters each year to take up jobs that vary from News reporting to graphic designing' from camera to content writing and from simple public relation activities to event management at big levels. A degree is worth. Question is about the utility of a Distance Education mode. There is a difference between the Regular and Distance Modes and that is of the Level of Teaching-Learning. Regular Studies give enough amount of exposure as well as the opportunity for the students to expand the horizons of skills and expertise. The Distance Mode limits the scope of that. If there are valid reasons and the learners is determined to ensure that the learning will not be caged because of the Distance mode, it can be done from a good Distance Learning University/Institution. IGNOU, Symbiosis, IIMC are the known names.

TIP: Bachelor of Mass Media and BA in journalism are same courses minus the fact that some universities/colleges do not teach electronic media in BA (Journalism). Please check the details of the course before you apply for it in a certain college/university.
Both these courses require practical hands-on experience along with theoretical classes. For instance, theoretical knowledge about how to do reporting and specific tips for it can be mugged up from textbooks and written in the answer sheets for an exam but the skills come handy only when practical experience is gained on the field. Same goes for camera handling and video editing - which one cannot learn unless they have in-depth knowledge of the equipment they have to use. Hence, a distance learning in this course will not help the candidate who means to pursue a career in mass media.
This being said, if the candidate wants to do a degree only to get an 'undergraduate' tag in their CV and not take up the course as a platform to pursue their career then distance learning is your thing.

The degree of Bachelors in Mass Media aka mass communication or journalism and mass communication gives a foundation to the skill sets and knowledge to enter the media careers. There are specialisations offered through B.Sc and other technical degrees in the domain of mass media only where you may get more of direction and film-making learning.
However, I am on one to say that the degree of BMM is less capable of taking you to accomplish your dream of becoming a film director.
I shall suggest and share that a specialisation will always be needed. The course of film-making and production or degrees done from institutes like FTII or Whistling Woods or from AAFT or IIMC have the potential to lead you to the aim you are pursuing.
Go ahead and don't stop from doing the course that you are determined to. My advise would be to choose a good institution where film-making is preferred.

Distance learning was not devised as an alternative to classroom learning or practical learning with the teachers. The same applies to the question as well. FCP is something which is a special learning and through the distance mode, I do not think that it is possible to comprehend and learn the best of FCP like tool through Distance. Besides, in India, we do not have that strong and fault-free delivery system of Distance Learning Programmes.

There are various job avenues which are open for a student once he/she completes graduation in journalism - but only when it is accompanied by a post graduate degree in the same subject (except in exceptional cases - where one gets job soon after graduation).
The jobs that are open to a candidate after the completion of graduation/post-graduation in journalism include: Reporters (in TV/print), copy editors (in TV/print/online), video editors, audio editors, producers, directors, newspaper designers, cartoonists, event managers, radio jockeys, TV anchors, director of photography, fashion/wildlife/print photographers, script writers (for TV/radio), actors, models, teachers (after qualifying NET/Completing PhD), social media editors, voice modulators (for animated movies), video camera person, screenplay writers, etc.

To be more specific for your query, it is not worthy. If you are willing to make a career in acting and modeling through distance mode, I would like to say certain points:
(#) If you are very much aware of the current Bollywood conditions and trends, you don't need to be much qualified. On screen, what matters is your acting skills and how you present yourself. These qualities and skills cannot be generated from obtaining the certificates. These are generated through regular practice and on-stage demonstration. So, you don't have to go for any advance certificate in film and modeling course.
(#) If you think that getting the certificates is extremely important for you. Then you may. But don't go for distance learning mode. These are the certificates which give you quality, skills. And you can never master any skills while sitting at home. So do only through regular mode.
