As several other users have already mentioned, I too would like to add by saying that you can take up short term / specialized courses in IT field. You can opt for a particular section out of the entire IT discipline like database, security,programming, hardware and networking etc.
There are several private institutes in the country which are offering these courses and you can locate an institute depending on the course that you are keen to pursue.

As far i would be able to comment on something like a salary bracket, there are several factors depending on which the salaries are structured and the few of the most important ones being academic brilliance, knowledge depth, company profile and reputation and all these are not possible to be predetermined. Yet, if you are a academically a sound student, I am sure you will be able to secure a decent pay pack as Ankit has mentioned a range as well.
