See, if the branch is not a barrier, you should definitely go for IIT or IIIT, as it stands out on its own and you'll get a great exposure there. But if you are sure with your branch that's EC, then NIT-Silchar is a great college.

I am sharing eligibility criteria for IIT, so have a look. You will have to satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IITs: Should have scored at least 75% aggregate marks in 10+2th standard (or equivalent) board examination. For SC/ ST and PwD candidates, the aggregate marks should be at least 65%. Hope This will help you.

No, CAT is not necessary to get admission in MBA colleges in India. But yes, if you aim for top management colleges in India CAT is best exam to write. It gives you advantage of applying to most top B schools in India. The selection of entrance exam to write completely depends upon your choice of college. The first thing you should ask to yourself which or what kind of colleges you want to take admission. If you want to take admission in tier 1 and tier 2 B-schools then you must write CAT. Age limit to apply for BA LLB in BMS College of Law for general category candidates is 20 years and for SC/ ST is 22 years as on June.
Whereas, the age limit criteria for admissions in three-year LLB course for the candidates is 30 years for General category.
