US is one of the best study destination to pursue MS in IT and related fields, in order to pursue MS form US you need to have:
Good academic record, preferably 60% plus n graduation.
Relevant undergraduate course from recognized university.
IELTS score of 6-7 bands plus or TOEFL score of 80-90 plus.
GRE score of 1100-1200 plus.
Some of the good universities in US to pursue MS in computer and related fields are:

Universities in US have 2 admission in take in a year, namely:

Few good colleges like IIMC, XIC, MICA etc. conduct their own entrance exams so I cannot assure the exact pattern but I can provide you all that you need to prepare.
So starting with media I would suggest you to go through the newspapers everyday and make a note of all the good articles or important news that you come across. You have to mug up the punch lines of various good and famous brands and also their Brand ambassadors, mug up the punch lines of various good news channels because they might ask it. Also if possible try and read few books on GK and Current affairs, if you want you can refer to Manorama year Book which is a nice book for GK and Current affairs.
Apart from all these you also have to practice a lot on writing articles because they might give you any topic to write or also a picture that you need describe so you need to write it in a creative manner and for that you need to think out of the box. Other than these you may also prepare on reading comprehension, grammar, etc. At the end i would say that the entrance is not that difficult and you can clear it easily and the interview depends on your caliber.
