Ashutosh, there are two exam in UPSC, first is PT and second is Mains. in PT there is anew change CSAT which is similar to Bank or CAT entrace test, the another thing is you have to choose two paper for mains. AS you are engg student you can opt maths, physics, mech engg, electronics, civil,electrical engg. it is very helpful for you.

The cost depends from university to university and location to location. You should expect the cost somewhere in between 40,000-70,000 USD including living expenses per annum.
To manage cost, you can either take a loan, or apply for scholarships and bursaries. Only these are the 2 ways through which you have manage your cost. There is 1 more method but for that, you would require a sponsor.

Hi Saurav. Did you write IIT on 10th? If the answer is yes then how did you do it? How is your prep for AIEEE going on? How come you are so sure that you'll not get more than 50%. I guess every thing is in if's and but's stage. If your haunch is correct and you are not able to score more than 50%
there are two things which you may like to do.
1. Write betterment to improve your percentage
2. Join long term coaching for engg.
