You haven't mentioned which state you are from. If you are referring to colleges in India, you have to know that competition for B.Arch seats is increasing every year. I'd suggest you to choose a college in which you don't have to pay much fee. Don't go for a management quota seat in a very good college, because all you'd be doing is wasting money. B.Arch is about subject and can be best learnt by yourself on the internet or by doing case studies, etc. Just make sure the college you go to has approval of the Council Of Architecture and that it has a good library.
To answer your question directly, there are no such colleges as " Good colleges". Its all about your priorities.
For a detailed list of colleges, google " List of COA approved colleges in _( your state/ city )" If the colleges are close to where you stay, Go visit the campuses once.

NATA is a compulsory Exam conducted by the Council of Architecture and most of the institutes /colleges accept only NATA scores. NATA is a test which only tests drawing and 3D interpretation skills and even students from humanities or commerce background can answer the exam.The exam does not test mathematics or science knowledge. The exam is conducted by the Architecture's Association and it helps you secure admission recognized by them and you need to apply to different institutes independently with the NATA scores. CEPT in Ahmadabad is one of the good college which accepts NATA scores.

NATA is designed in such a manner that prior tutelage is not required. COA-NIASA is aware that candidates will have no or minimal knowledge of architecture. NATA examination which consist of two parts, measures aptitude of the candidate in his / her aesthetic sensibilities (3D visualization, logical understanding, etc.) and drawing skills, that are in-built in every candidate and developed right from childhood to the present day.
The paper based drawing test is of two hours duration and computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test is of one hour. Computer based test will be given only after completing the Paper based test. It is always a good idea to start preparing for entrance exams at the beginning of 11th standard. Try to capture at least 80 % of the total syllabus. Incorporate difficult topics if you already have a sound understanding of them. If not, start with the easier topics then tackle the difficult ones. Make sure that you use the right reference and study material. Focus on the method of solving the problems instead of simply mugging up the answers. Spend the initial few months in revising the basic concepts learnt in standard 9th and 10th.Ensure that you study concepts like algebra, mechanics extensively as they also form the basis of several other topics.

Hypothesis
In life, we can't guarantee anything. People clearing IIT JEE might fail later in Engineering, while person failing in JEE might be able to do better in career.
Experiment
Aptitude test or NATA is for qualifying architectural course. On average, scoring better in it would means you would enjoy the course. But it is not a guarantee that you would be as successful as you were in NATA scoring. You can't compare 5 years program with a 2-3 hour exam. Obviously, you need patience and consistency for doing good in architecture.
And even if you do good in course, does not guarantee that you would be similarly successful in career or practice.
I would suggest you that don't expect that ways. Enjoy the course, if you are interested in this field.

No, Candidates desirous of taking admission to First year of undergraduate course in Architecture(Bachelor of Architecture) in India take NATA.
NATA scores are used by admissions authorities of different Government, Govt. Aided & unaided schools / colleges of Architecture, to provide common measure for comparing the qualifications of applicants, for admission in addition to their scholastic performance in Class 12 or equivalent examination.

Time: Unlike EEE and other exams, NATA doesn't require that much intense preparation. 1 month after the board exams, to get the material and study overall.
Study material: What sort of learning suits you? Self study or classes? Depending on that choose your study plan. Choose wisely, some courses are extremely expensive and totally unnecessary.
Some places offer comprehensive courses, along with books and online tests. I would totally recommend these online tests, because they give you an authentic feel of how the test is going to be.
Also, I feel it's better to go for NATA class or get a self study course, because it's much more productive than buying random books and reading the same material again.
The Test: The test is for 200, 100 aptitude and 100 sketching.
The 100 marks for aptitude basically consists of an online test, which consists of MCQs. The computer assigned to you randomly selects a difficulty level. Depending on your level of knowledge, it adjusts the questions as the test progresses.
Strategy: Since there is only one correct answer, you have much higher chances of scoring more here. Pay more attention to this round.English vocabulary is pretty easy. Basic antonyms and synonyms and things like that. Also, cover all the the important architects and their buildings ( especially in India).
Also, view questions ( view from left side and so on) form a major part of your paper. Concentrate on that.
Sketching: For 100 marks you get the view problems, ( ant's views, bird's view, worm's view) basic colour theory problems and such. But since the test is more subjective, they don't give that good marks. So, my last suggestion is, prepare according to your strengths. Manage your weaknesses and maximize your strengths.

NATA comprises of two parts mainly, one being the drawing section and second is the online aptitude test.
You can study on your own if you have a fair sense of 2D drawing, 3D drawing and Perspective for the drawing part. You get plenty of question papers online and there are online videos too for reference. You get books for the NATA aptitude test. Refer some of these books for the test. These questions keep on repeating and they seem quite tricky at first, but are very easy if you know the logic behind solving these question's. You also need some basic knowledge on architects, famous buildings and the material used.
If all of the above seems too much of self study then just join some NATA coaching classes for a year or so.

All questions carry particular marks based on difficulty level:
- A tougher question will carry more marks.
- An easier question will carry less marks.
Marking is based on time,
- The less time you take, more the marks.
- The more time you take, lesser the marks.
(according to some percentage of original marks set according to difficulty)
The server chooses a random difficulty level at first which goes on increasing/decreasing according to following rules:
- if an answer is wrong, the level decreases, next question will be of lower level.
-if an answer is right, the level increases, next question will be of a higher level ( the time taken to give this correct answer will also decide how higher the next level will be)
Now coming back to your question, whether giving an answer in 10 seconds is better or taking 60 seconds(considering the answer given is right),It will mostly be beneficial for you, since the level will increase and as the time is limited, this gives you a better chance at getting more marks in the same time interval.

NATA exam is divided into two parts – Drawing Section and Aesthetic Sensitivity Section.
Tips to perform well in the exam:
1. A candidate should analyze up to 20 years of NATA's previous papers, to understand the question patterns. He should keep himself updated with new, existing and old architectural structures in India and around the world by reading newspapers, architecture based magazines, journals and more. The more the candidate knows about architecture, the more are his chances of scoring well.
2. There is no negative marking in the NATA test, so you must attempt all the questions even if you are not 100% sure of an answer. Time management is essential so that you can attempt all questions within the given time frame.
3. If you are looking for good reference books for NATA exam, here are few of the options:
