Dear Valentine, You seems me student of Commerce while for being doctor one must be Science student. I think that is problem with you. So I don't think with Commerce Background you will be able to get admission anywhere.

Doing MBA in regular will sound good. With Distance MBA, you cannot compete with other MBA holders. If you have work experience, it will be an added advantage when you do MBA in regular.

There are two stages of civil services which you need to clear to get into IAS: Preliminary & Main.
Prelim: As the Prelim Exam pattern is changing now instead of subject Knowledge you have to focus more on areas like decision making skills, logical and analytical abilities and the knowledge in the services in which you want to pursue your career. Since the preliminary exam is an elimination round the candidate should also learn to focus only on the information needed and filter out the rest.
