Placements are good and the CRC department helps each and every student in getting placed. The good dynamic students with the support of great CRC department either take PNR (Placements not required) to enter into their enterpreneurship or rest makes 100% placements going in good companies. CRC make sure that students to be placed but at the same time ,students also plays their part being full focussed in their academics and co curricular activities.

To answer your question on placements, Out of nearly 800 students, nearly 740 students get placed every year with an average package of 5.5 lakhs while the highest for the session 2014-16 was 18 lakhs. Have that answers your query. Thank you

Currently you are working in a marketing domain and when switch your career into IT, your past experience will not be counted and you have to start afresh, So if you are willing to accept this, go ahead otherwise I will suggest you to opt for a role which involves client interaction(not a proper development or a testing role) like Business analyst because you are already promoting IT products and these kind of job roles will help you understand the technical aspect a bit more

Hi Shobhit,
Your CGPA is good. There is only a minimum cut-off of 5 or 50% for graduation. However to maximize your chances of getting called for an interview, maintain a CGPA of 8 or higher is advisable. Not having any prior work experience does not deter your progress in IIMs nor does it affect your placements that much.

The placement is good , this year also more than 50 companies have visited campus in the first phase itself I.e before Diwali and around 120 students have been placed the avg. Package is around 5-6 lacs pa. And maximum package till now is 9 lacs .Companies like JP Morgan,Delloite, TCS,CRISIL,KOTAK,HDFC,ICICI,ITC ,SBI,Nestle,Nerolac,Zycus ETC have visited and biggies like L & T ,Yes Bank,Bharti Axa etc are scheduled in this month.
