An MBA in Health Care Management area develops the management and business skills that students need to function effectively, within the health care industry. With an MBA in health care management, students can prepare for mid-level or executive positions in the health care field.
You could also pursue some of the Primary Health care programs. You may also look out for some of the short term programs in these subjects in your city. After having completed one of these courses you can avail challenging job opportunities in medical institutes, hospitals, nursing homes and NGOs operating in the health care sector. Over one-half of all jobs in this field are in hospitals. The remainder are in home health agencies, medical and dental laboratories, offices of dentists and other practitioners, and other health and allied services.
You may start as assistant hospital administrators, or as managers of non-health departments, like finance. Health service managers advance by moving into more responsible and higher paying positions such as assistant or associate administrator and finally, CEO, or by moving to larger facilities. The starting salaries could vary from 5 to 8 lakhs per annum.

There is a huge career opportunity in this field of study from getting into the field of Teaching and Education to becoming a Space Biologist. The placement is good , this year also more than 50 companies have visited campus in the first phase itself I.e before Diwali and around 120 students have been placed the avg. Package is around 5-6 lacs pa. And maximum package till now is 9 lacs .Companies like JP Morgan,Delloite, TCS,CRISIL,KOTAK,HDFC,ICICI,ITC ,SBI,Nestle,Nerolac,Zycus ETC have visited and biggies like L & T ,Yes Bank,Bharti Axa etc are scheduled in this month. So I would suggest that if you have confidence that you can compete then you can get a good placement because collage helps in calling companies to campus while its you who have to perform to get a good placement. The Placement cell is good and are calling many companies so if u have knowledge then you will easily get a good package.
