I'll get straight to the point. Copywriting is a tough job. Apart from your command over the language, you also need a flair to write, creative ideas and strong understanding of the target group. Copywriters don't get paid well in the beginning of their careers. So, you can be an intern for 6-12 months. After your training period, you may get through and be a part of the agency's payroll. For the first 4 years, you can expect peanuts as your pay. It's only after that period of time and you proving your copywriting skills, that you get paid a decent salary. Well it is never too late to start doing what you want! So, if you are interested in Advertising, then you should go for it. Initially don't expect much from the industry as copy writers don't get much in the initial years. But after few years of experience, you will surely make a good career

The eligibility criteria for both M.Phil and Ph.D varies for every institute. However the basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline. However the cut off percentages vary. Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two Research Publications for the Ph.D programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
In order to know the exact eligibility criteria for pursuing Phd, it would be always advisable to browse through the university's website you wish to take admission.

Well I too would agree with Surya and suggest you on similar lines as stated by him.
As for the other career opportunities are concerned, there are many in the medicine field from the ones like MBBS, paramedics, dental sciences, pharmacy etc.
