Your text books are good enough to develop concepts of all the topics of not only first year but the entire 4 years. You must attend college regularly, make notes during the classes and when you come back home, spend around 1-2 hours to study text books through comparing notes.

MBA is offered by universities, whereas PGDM is offered by AICTE approved institutes, both of these course have more or less the same curriculum.
However, while pursuing these course your emphasis should be more on getting admission in good universities or institutes.

Being a trainer for CAT \ MAT over the last 20 years, it is imperative for you to do your MBA from the top 100 B Schools, in India. Most of these B Schools accept only CAT scores.

It mostly depends upon the name & reputation of the college and the university to which it is associated. In case of Delhi University anything less than 85% is difficult for admissin into Humanities (Arts) stream.
