Dear Murtaza, Both IGNOU and SMU are one the best institutes engaged in imparting part time courses and open schooling courses in the country. You can choose any of these as per your convenience, interested course and their syllabus. You can have a look into the contents and facilities provided by each of these institutes and then decide. Better to look out for IGNOU. cheers and God Bless!!!

Thanx Manmeet Kaur50173
As rightly mentioned by our expert that choice of branch should be based on self aptitude and interest, I would like to further add that all branches of engineering provide more or less equal opportunities in terms of job.
Coming to your question, earlier the branch is used to be called as Electronics & Telecommunication when there were no mobile communication and computer communication. Hi,
The questions in the written test will be strictly as per the syllabus. As for Group Discussion, the topics can be current or related to the Teaching domain.
Interview questions can be-
Tell me about yourself.
Why do you wish to be a teacher?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Can you work under pressure? (in the context of handling students)
What are your goals?
What motivates you to do good job?
As far as technical questions are concerned, that really depend upon the nature of course curriculum and various other parameters like your resume, education qualification, prior work experience etc.
