There is no significant co-relation between a Bachelor's degree and an MBA. On the contrary, it is important to understand as to why you want to take up an MBA. While I was doing my MBA, my class had a mixed bunch of folks. There were students who had a Bachelors in Pharma. Most of them wanted to get into management roles in Pharma companies like Cipla, Ranbaxy etc. There are 2 reasons as to why you could be doing an MBA. Either you are passionate about management programme and you want to pursue it for your educational interest or you are looking for better career prospects. An MBA degree will definitely move you out of technical work to business side of the work, and if you enjoy it, you will definitely like the work. Some concepts that you learn in BBA will be applicable in MBA as well. You will be a pure management graduate. While a B.Sc. + MBA will help you in cross specialisation. It is advisable to take a decision based on what youd like to see yourself doing at the end of the MBA programme rather than figuring out which Bachelor's degree will assist you in an MBA. B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) is a regular 3 years degree recognised by UGC (University Grants Commission of India). Just like B.Sc. There are many specializations in B.Voc like Analytics, Retail Management, Software Development, Textile Design, Automobile, etc. B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocational Degree) courses are available in several fields for students who have completed their 12th standard or equivalent.
