Congratulations for such an amazing score. NIT, Rourkela is one of the most renowned college all over the world. It is ranked on 12th position by NIRF rankings. According to the past records the opening rank for ECE Branch to get admission in NIT Rourkela is 4578 and closing rank is 8837. The probability of getting the admission in NIT Rourkela is quite less. If your luck favors then you can surely get into NIT Rourkela. But please do not loose your confidence and hope as you can surely get into other NITs. Other NITs are equally good for ECE branch. The other NITs are:-

College has a good placement record. Many good companies with excellent package provide good opportunity to the students. Companies like Wipro, Axis bank, Deloitte and many more come to the college. In every field like finance, operations, IT, HR companies are coming to give placements. Mostly students get placed through the college.

ICFAI is much better than IPE. The quality and placement standards of that college is a bit higher than the IPE.

Yes, you can easily get it as my friend last year scored 5 lakh rank and easily got there in the first round of the counseling only plus there is first come first serve basis also so if you want there only then apply as soon as possible.

For document verification after seat allocation you have to visit the nearest reporting center. It is not the case, you have to visit the institute in which the seat is allotted. You can visit any of the following reporting centers as per your convenience. List of reporting centers is available at:

Hi Rahul, thank you for posting your query on Shiksha. Right now only the first cut-off list has been released in DU. In case of Ramjas, the cut-off for B.Sc physical science in Chemistry is 91% and in case of B.Sc Physical Science in electronics is 93%. Both the percentages are for the general category. Also the cut-off for other courses in Physical Science isn't out yet.
