If you are a graduate, try CAT and get admissions to some of teh renowned Management colleges. Specialize in project management or general management. While you are preparing for the MBA admissions, you may also take up specialized courses to make your self familiar with MSProject or Primavera. this will give you confidence and extra lead for getting prepared for teh Project Management assignments after your MBA or even otherwise. You must encourage him to work in industry from entry level and let him do further specialization only on requirement basis for knowledge enhancement.

as u ve said that u want to go in creative side of ad world,n the creative department, on the other hand, a general BA with a command of the language of communication plus knowledge of designing packages like Photoshop, coral draw or fine arts is the requirement. i will suggest u to do some certificate course in visuals/creative writing . this will help u in entering the media world. u can check various courses at
