To choose the branch, first preference should be given to your personal interest about the field and the subject like in which you've more interest. If you are interested in computers, then obviously, you should go for computer engineering. If you have interest on machines then mechanical engineering is the best bet for you.
Next factor is market condition. Present market condition trends of engineering students towards ECE, CSE, Civil, etc.
Third and most important factor is the college you get in to. Like if you qualify for IIT, then whatever stream you get there, you will never miss it irrespective of your interest and liking. In some colleges, you would like to study CSE (like UTM Shillong, BIT Ranchi are known for CSE) and while in other, you may find petroleum as the most sought after branch (Like UPES). So college faculty, placements are also considered while making selection.
Consider all the factors and then make your decision. Good luck.

There are few things which need to be consider before joining a course from any institute:
1. Are you getting a PGD or MBA Degree? Although, they are considered equivalent but technically both are different and MBA have more value than any PGD.
2. Is your university recognized? UGC, DEB and AIU are basic recognition required.
3. What flexibility you are getting? App based learning, live interactive lectures and career advisory are basic facilities.
4. Placement support provided or not? Straight and forward saying, no university can guarantee your placement, as companies pay for skills not for degree you are holding. So, check which university helps you in improving your skills and provide you with assistance in placements.
Now as far as your question is concerned, neither AMITY nor IIBM are approved by DEB (Distance Education Bureau). So, doing MBA/PGDM from these won't be beneficial.

Hi Bihu, Sorry for replying late, and yes you are eligible to sit during the counselling and eligible for apply. Alliance ask for 60% in MAT but if you don't have above 60% then Alliance conducts Alliance mat(amat) on the PI date, In AMAT there will be a written exam followed by extempore and then PI. In Extempore they will give you a topic with preparation time 3 minutes and after then you have to give a speech for 5-7 minutes in-front of students and the interview panel.
