Look for premier private Universities Like
Lovely Professional university
Manipal university
SRM University etc
before their dates close too ! You would have good career shaping opportunity. Dont go for B-grade colleges as it would have bad impact on your CV moreover you may not get any placement support. Best of Luck

Both the paths Engineering and MBA provide opportunity to take entry into Oil and Gas/Marine sectors. you can take admission in Branches like Chemical / Petroleum / mechanical / electrical /Marine engineering etc. for your b-tech and then get hired as per your GATE score. You should look for colleges like IIT, NIT, BITS,Lovely professional University etc. There are chance you could get headhunted from campus in these colleges if you choose an appropriate branch. Hi
You need to take TOEFL/ IELTS band 6 atleast to apply to canada. Other than this, you may be asked to submit SOP or an essay for the BJH degree. Letter of recommendations from your teachers/ professor. Select the universities as per your preference and apply.
Note: I am not sure how much BMM is related to journalism course but you may try credit transfer if any of the courses are common between the two.
