Dear Pratik, The point that you have raised is a bit difficult to be satisfied as the Indian Engg degree is for 4 Yrs and the UK Engg degree is for 3 Years. If you are doing the traditional Engineering degree from any university in India, that would not be considered equivalent to the first 2 Years of UK Engg. However there are courses in India also where in this would be actually a UK Qualification, but delivered in India in partnership with educational bodies like Edexcel, , NCC etc, which if done you are considered equivalent. During 4th year, good colleges arrange campus placement drive for students. Better or more recognized colleges are able to attract MNC companies whose packages start at Rs. 3 Lac PA and go up to Rs. 7Lac at an average. Smaller companies offer Rs. 1.8 Lac onward. Through multiple rounds of placement, gradually, majority of students get placed. But after top companies have visited the colleges, the next companies are smaller and accordingly package keeps dropping towards 1.8 lac. Major companies only examine those students who have above 60% marks in 10th, 12th and graduation.
After the graduation, all engineering graduates are eligible to qualify the exams of defense, IAS, IPS, IES and all PSU companies where they are appointed as Officers. The minimum salary is as per VIth pay commision which is roughly Rs. 45,000/- per month.

one simple question for u - U must have some sort of computer knowledge i know cos now a days computer has taken place of TV at home. If my Hard Disk gone damage should i replace or repair? If Motherboard got damage will it be repaired or replaced? Now a days all these r coming with 3-5 years of warranty. Processor can not be repaired. What other expensive things remain on computer which can be repaired. I think replacement is the best option now a days. For making parts replaced do u think u must have to do the course of 18 months or so and invest around 55-60 thousand on Hardware & Networking course. After that u will get a National level of certificate. Instead of that if u go for any International Certifications like RHCE+CCNA+MCSE+RHCVA in a shorter amount of time and invest ur more time on the field for getting experience.
