The LPU is the first private university to get ICAR approval. The LPU agriculture programme is designed with a target of holistic development of students. School of Agriculture offers programs with up-to-date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The laboratories of the School are world class. One can get a job as a Biochemist, Food Scientist, Environmental Engineer, Agricultural Lawyer, Agricultural Operations Manager, Animal Geneticist, Agricultural Engineers, Agronomy Sales Manager, etc. The dedicated faculty of LPU gives the students a hands-on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. It includes disciplines like Agronomy, Horticulture Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Economics, Extension, etc. The major emphasis of the programme is to get the students acquainted with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the above mentioned discipline and apply that knowledge to high-value agricultural production in a sustainable manner. The ICAR-approved programmes include: B Sc (Hons. ). Agriculture M.Sc Agriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science) M.Sc Agriculture (Agronomy) M.Sc Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding)The minimum age required for enrolling in the programme is 16yrs. Students may be given an option to go for a 4-week study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. There is also an option to join a partner university abroad for a semester. Students are engaged in evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. The students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how which creates an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence, and management skills. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios is given. This year the maximum salary offered to a student was 19.25 LPA while the average salary was 7.95 LPA.

Focus on performing well in Continuous Assessments (CAs), especially the first one, which usually covers a smaller portion of the syllabus and is easier to score in. Pay close attention to assignments, projects, and class participation, as these also form a part of internal evaluations.

Preparing strategically for mid-term and end-term exams is crucial. Utilize LPU's extensive digital library, LMS resources, and faculty guidance to understand difficult topics. Take part in study groups and academic workshops whenever possible, as collaborative learning often clarifies complex concepts. In case of low grades in any subject, LPU allows you to reappear or even improve the score by attempting the subject again, up to a certain limit. Attending backlog classes and preparing well for reappear exams can also help in improving your grades. Staying organized, setting academic goals, and managing time efficiently are key to achieving a better CGPA.

Civil engineering is one of the oldest and most important branches of engineering. It deals with construction, design, and maintenance of buildings, roads, bridges, dams, and other structures. Many top colleges in India offer civil engineering with good placements, strong infrastructure, and quality teaching and some of the best Indian colleges are IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and IIT Kharagpur but as per my POV IIT's have very limited seats. 

I know another university which is really great for civil engineering that is Chandigarh University. As far as I know, one of the biggest highlights of a university's civil engineering programme is its strong focus on practical learning. If you're someone who enjoys working on real-world projects like constructing roads, bridges and dams, this could be a great option. 

The university provides well-equipped labs, including material testing, hydraulics, structural engineering and environmental studies, allowing students to gain hands-on experience rather than just studying theory.

The faculty is also very amazing. The university has experienced professors who guide students throughout their academic journey and they also invite industry experts for guest lectures.
