Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates with a diploma in engineering can apply for the course. The diploma holders should have scored a minimum aggregate pass mark as per the university rules.
The lateral entry examination has many advantages :
*The students selected for the course can directly get admitted for the second year classes.
*The candidate can save one year through this scheme and need not study the basic subjects that they have studied earlier.

General Eligibility Criteria:-
The individual's must be a citizen of India. Also preference is given to those who are residents of the state. Some institute do keep an age limit of 17 years.
Academic Eligibility Criteria:-
Candidate must have completed Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent
The minimum marks secured in 12th standard should be at least 50%
The candidate should have pursued the science subjects. The science subjects should include Physics and Chemistry
Most institutes insist candidates should have pursued Mathematics during 12th standard
So it would not be possible for you to go for BCA. You can select any course of your choice, provided you possess keen interest and passion for the subject.
Take up a bachelor's degree in any of the arts subjects. You could even learn a foreign language and aim for an interpreter's job in the consulates and embassies. Some of the choices in this regard are French, Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese or Chinese. You can even prepare for the Indian Civil Service Examinations or State Civil Service Examinations. You can analyze the various opportunities available and select the right path based on your personal criteria which should include:
