The ICFAI University, Sikkim has been established under Section 4 (2) of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Sikkim Act 2004 (Act 9 of 2004) passed by Legislative Assembly of Sikkim. The University has been notified under Notification No.9/LD/2004 Dated, 15-10-2004.
The University is empowered by UGC for award of degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act 1956. The University is a member of the Federation of Universities, India.

As for radio Journalism, it would come under electronic Journalism. One such institute known for radio and TV Journalism is IIMC. Few other good institutes are MICA, XIC, JAMIA, Manorama etc.

Hi Aayush.
To join merchant navy in India, you may do the following:
1.Pursue Marine Engineering after +2, to join the engineering department of merchant navy.
The course is offered by Marine Engineering and Research Institute-Kolkata.
2.Pursue Nautical Science after +2, to join the navigation department. The course is offered by T.S.Chanakya, Mumbai.
To pursue these courses, you will have to qualify Join Entrance Exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology.
You may also join merchant navy as Deck Cadet directly after +2 or as Junior Engineer after completion of bachelors degree program in engineering.
The most important thing you need to know is that, either you want to pursue the courses mentioned above or you want to join as Deck Cadet, you must have qualified +2 level of exam with the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The maximum age limit to apply for the same is 25 years.

Well following can be said as the differences:-
**Only universities can offer Degree Programmes: In India only those institutes which are affiliated to a university can offer a degree. Institutes which are not affiliated to university are autonomous and can offer PG Diploma. However, some of these programmes are approved by regulatory bodies.
**Difference in focus of course curriculum: While there are huge similarities in the curriculum of both Masters and PG Diploma, there are finer points of differences too. While Masters focuses more on theoretical aspects and is more exam-oriented, PG Diploma has a focus on building soft skills and is industry-oriented. It prepares you for the job market.
**Curriculum of PG Diploma course is flexible: Since an autonomous institute does not have to follow university standards, it is free to change its curriculum according to industry standards and change in business environment. Also a PG Diploma gives you an industry exposure.
So you take up any as both would benefit you in their own ways. As far as syllabus is concerned, the course content varies from one college to another. None of these would affect your career path. And even I.I.M offers PGDM.
