Well in India, you might not get M.S as a degree in Animation, but you can opt for the M.Sc in Animation which is all the more of equivalent level to a M.S.

True. With the high standards Welingkar Institute keeps I highly doubt they'll ease up on their rules any time soon.
If you want to pursue a Post Graduation, why not do a PGDM from Welingkar. It'll be better for your career as these programs are changed slightly to keep in pace with the changing industries. This will keep you updated and you'll have a better chance of getting a job at the end of your course.

There are few institutes like AIGA in Bangalore for Gaming but as far as I know, ICAT was the first to start a Gaming course in India. They have successfully produced both Graduates and Post Graduate diploma students. Check out the placement list in their website. Many teach game art but icat teaches game art + game Design. Similarly game development students learn both game design + game programming.
