Anthropology definitely has a good scope in India. Few of the career fields which you can explore with the degree in Anthropology are: teaching, research wok, working with organization like Archaeological Survey of India, the Planning Commission as well as international organizations like the United Nation's UNESCO or UNICEF etc.
However, I would like to add here that the most important thing which you need to keep in mind while choosing your stream is your own interests and career aspirations so in case you think that this is the stream you want to make your career in then go ahead.

Hi Rao,
As MBA is a degree which is open for all streams you can take up any specialization but the most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing your specialization is your own interests and career aspirations. Few of the popular specializations which you can choose from is Finance, Operations, HR, Sales & Marketing etc. However, as you are from Engineering Background you can take up Operations or Finance as a specialization.

As Shiksha is an Education portal which believes in giving unbiased Guidance it would be unfair on my part to give you my personal opinion on a particular Institute. However, few of the things which you should keep in mind while choosing an Institute are: First and foremost the recognition of the Institute (the institute must be recognized by UGC or AICTE), Secondly, the course curriculum and the study material, The infrastructure, The faculty (their educational background), The placement, Last but not least Institutes reputation in the job market for which you should visit the institute and try and talk to the current batch students and get few of the alumnae contacts as well. This will give you a real picture about the institute.

Scholarships are competitive and awarded to the most deserving students. At the graduate level you can get funding in the form of graduate assistantships where you work or research with professors. In exchange you may get your entire/partial tuition fees waived, and get a monthly stipend to cover your living expenses. Such awards are very competitive. Universities abroad consider various factors such as previous academics, entrance test scores, work experience, application documents and so on while assessing an application for admission and scholarships; hence, it is important to have a well-rounded outstanding profile. Such awards are available generally at the Master's level only.

UPSC conducts several exams depending on the designation and services sector you wish to join. However the minimum educational requirement for a premier exam like IRS, IPS, IAS, IFS etc is a graduate degree from a recognized university and the maximum age limit not to exceed 30 years (for a general candidates).
