As among all three colleges, both SRM and LPU conduct their own exam but its Thapar which has the selection criteria through JEE Mains score, and Thapar also provides you with a platform to visit foreign countries for your academic and training purposes. So, it's better to go through with Thapar.

If we compare universities for the CSE programme, then I would like to suggest Lovely Professional University Punjab. I have studied my MBA programme at LPU. One of my friend's cousin is also studying there in B.Tech CSE. The way LPU is providing education, exposure, placements can't be compared. Being a student of LPU I believe that LPU is always the right choice for B.Tech CSE. Faculty members are highly qualified and most of them are Ph. This and mostly from IITs, NITs, Iims, etc. Their curriculum is according to industrial changes and demands. LPU offers different kinds of specializations courses namely IOT, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, and many more. The placements at LPU well known. The preparation for placements starts from the very first year itself. Many top recruiters come LPU campus to employ graduates, such as Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, and several other firms. The highest Package Availed by Engineering (CSE) Student MS Tanya Arora is 42 LPA for batch 2020 by Microsoft. Students are placed in AMAZON at a package of 28 LPA. Rs. 24 LPA for B.Tech/M.Tech CSE by Optmyzr. Rs. 80,000 per month as the highest Internship Stipend Availed by LPU Student (Summer Internship with Microsoft). More than 650 companies visit LPU every year for recruitment with an average package of 4-10 LPA. Hello There, Three of them are doing good in the education sector but as per my experience, LPU is the best place for a career. I have completed my CSE from the LPU in the year 2019. I have not faced any kind of disappointment at any phase. LPU provides the beautiful infrastructure and all required resources to students and staff. I highly recommend that if you really want to make your career with a good level of education then you should go for LPU. My Decision for LPU was the best decision of my life. LPU provides specialisation also in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, etc. LPU gave me an extra edge in everything. LPU is Great in teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities. The best thing is LPU gives the career pathways like I was interested in placements and I opted then university gave me all required and important inputs and the result was my placement in a good MNC with Great Package. The maximum package was 31 Lacs per annum in that year. On another hand, my batchmates who were interested in higher studies than the university gave all the required inputs according to them. So in short LPU is actually Nourishing the students for a better future. Rest Haters are everywhere but LPU is the Best Place for a good career as per my experience of 4 years over there.

Preference to any university depends on many factors like infrastructure, placements and faculty members. Being an alumnus I can assure you that LPU is a great place to study. I has many friend from CSE dept. And they were very satisfied with the learning atmosphere there. CSE dept. Of LPU is having the highest number of students under a single dept. Being an alumni of LPU I had many friends from CSE and I used to SEE them wearing formal dress almost every day because their placement drives would happen every day in their final year. Most of the students get offers in their third year itself. The placement record of CSE from LPU is phenomenal. Every year LPU breaks its own record in terms of placements. Student from LPU got placed in Microsoft at a package of 42 LPA and many giants like Amazon, Interview bit have offered packages of around 26LPA to LPU students from CSE. VMWARE, Jugnoo, Pegasystems have offered packages of 9LPA to students, many other companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Bosch have offered packages of 6 LPA and the list is endless. The CSE dept. Of LPU has various tie-ups with Google, Pega, VMWARE, AUTOMATION ANYWHERE, INFORMATICA, COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (CompTIA). The university has sate of the art labs with the latest software to provide hands on practical exposure to students. I recommend LPU because the companies which visit the college. The tieups university has are huge. The student base is large and I won't say there will be 100% placement but there is a lot scope for you to get placed into good companies. Even Thapar is also good. You can SEE its NIRF ranking is 29.
