Dear Kandarp, Both M.Tech and MBA provide excellent career options and have gained importance over the time. M.Tech or MBA is always an additional advantage to an engineer whether it is in terms of experience, knowledge or seniority. Whether it be an IT, manufacturing, or R&D driven establishment, there would be requirements for both M. Techs and MBAs. The M. Techs would be more of a subject matter specialist, whereas the MBAs would handle product sales and marketing, project management, IT process, human resources, consulting and customer service management etc. Doing M.Tech in a particular field would make you invaluable for a compan...more

4 years agoHi Kandarp, M.Tech will lead you to deeper study and research in your core field of engineering. The career following M.Tech will be more oriented towards teaching, research and consulting. MBA will lead you to gaining management skills in whichever specialisation you do. The career following MBA will be more towards techno-management roles, more into corporate and entrepreneurship. So it is your choice!
Go check your interests, aptitude, hobbies, attitude, bent of mind and ASPIRATIONS before taking a plunge into any of these. But whatever you decide, pursue only from universities of high repute like Iims, PU, IITS, SIBM, VIT, BITs and...more -
It's all depends upon the area of interest. In case one wants to be in the technical domain, then they must continue with M.Tech. Whereas in case anyone wants to change their domain or want to have more job opportunities after post graduation then they must do MBA.

Job opportunities after MBA in India are wide, and it is the responsibility of the students to pick up the right job from the options available. LPU provides quality education, with great scholarship programs plus holistic learning opportunities. Mittal School of Business is among the first 10 institutions in India to get ACBSP (USA) accreditation. LPU is ranked No. 2 among Indian B-S...more

This is a very prudent question and many of us get in a fix which one to decide. Well as I always suggest my students of LPU who are pursuing their B.Tech, I would guide you the same. Like in LPU along with the core technical training we emphasis on developing managerial skills in our scholars by putting them through multiple task oriented live training where they learn people management skills, task handling, decision making, problem solving, strategizing and planning. In LPU we run live projects, hands on training, internships, events, clubs and leads. These can be very well assessed from the website of LPU. LPU has immense amount of...more

Hello Kandarp Patel, Both MBA and M.Tech courses are good, beneficial and offer a stable career. But the decision of opting one between the two courses totally depends on your choice and field of interest. MBA is a PG course of 2 years duration. It opens the jobs in non technical industries such as banks etc. On the other hand, M.Tech degree offers opportunities in the academia, research & development and technical fields.
