After completing B.Tech in mechanical engineering, I suggest you to go for MBA from a good college. As you have already learned engineering and technical skills from B.Tech and you will learn management skills from MBA.

After B.Tech in Mech Engineering, I think MBA will be very good option. You can achieve a top management position & managerial skills in Manufacturing, Auto & other industries based on MBA, B.Tech ME qualification rather than doing M.Tech after B.Tech Mechanical.

I think you should go for MBA if you want job in private sectors and if you want to go in teaching line or government job you can opt M.Tech.

MBA and M.Tech are two different fields. MBA after B.Tech is a good option for getting job as fast as possible in any private sector in the present scenario but if you do M.Tech after B.Tech there will be very less opportunities in working for any private companies but you'll have increased chances for doing teaching in universities and colleges after doing M.Tech.

It depends upon your future career path if you are much of innovative and tech savvy thinker, go for ME/M.Tech but if you are interested in corporate world along with your technical knowledge go for MBA.

I can understand what you are going through. The dilemma is real, however there is a middle road. I suggest you look up about National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE). They offer management degrees pertaining to Industrial engineering.

It depends how much knowledge you have and if you really want to go into technical field or you want to explore some other fields of management like MBA, even MBA provides MBA in operations or systems, telecom, etc. which are meant for engineers. You can go with your interest, for me you are already an engineer after graduation even after you pursue M.Tech you will remain an engineer better to go for MBA to have a bright future and to explore more.

I've had a really good experience with the mechanical engineering faculty at Chandigarh University. Most of them are PhD holders, so you can tell they know their subject inside out. What I like is that they're not just teaching from books—they share real-world examples, guide us in labs, and help with projects. The faculty is approachable, so if you ever get stuck on something, you can just ask, and they'll explain patiently. They also encourage students to explore electives like Thermal & Energy Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or Design & Robotics, and help you pick what suits your career goals.

Plus, with all the collab

Yes, Chandigarh University is a good choice for B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. What I really like about the programme is the variety of specializations you can pick, like Thermal & Energy, Industrial Manufacturing & Management, or Automation & Robotics. The labs are another strong point from 3D printing and advanced welding labs to industry-backed centres by Honda, Mahindra, Hyundai, and MG Motors. These collaborations give you hands-on exposure that feels very close to real-world industry work. On top of that, the department is both ABET and NBA accredited, which adds global recognition. With regular industrial visits, workshops, and
