Which is a better university for CSE: SRM, Chennai or Lovely Professional University?

Dear Vidhaan, According to me LPU is the best university for B.Tech CSE. I do not know the deep insights as I have done MBA from LPU but I have done some study for placements in LPU as my cousin had to take admission in B.Tech CSE. So I can share with you the details: the highest salary package availed: 42 lacs per annum (Microsoft) In total more than 800 companies recruited from LPU campus for various disciplines the highest Internship Stipend per month: Rs. 80,000 Leading Industry Giants/MNCs visit LPU every year. I. e. MICROSOFT, GOOGLE, AMAZON, COGNIZANT TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION, HEWLETT PACKARD, VIRTUSA. INTEL, HILTON HOTEL, MRF LIMITED, HINDUSTAN UNILEVER, FLIPKART, ICICI BANK, ASIAN PAINTS to name a few. 110 plus Recruiters of IITs/Iims/NITs also hire from LPU. 250 plus Companies offering Dream Packages Centers of Excellence at LPU. When I was looking out for the admissions in B.Tech programs in a college, I came across LPU in my 12th grade only so I registered there and was very sure about it. MY OWN LPU JOURNEY FACULTY: Now, after spending almost 10 months studying at LPU virtually, I am hustling up, taking opportunities, and interacting with people. I have come across many learned teachers (almost all are Ph.D. who was very sweet and friendly. For every concern that a student has, there is a can just say that we are a community that is transforming the education model in India and the world. PLACEMENTS: Well, both the universities have good placements and cannot really compare them up. But one thing I've noticed is that the odds of placement totally depend upon your capability and are magnified by the diverse companies that come into the campus. Now, LPU has the biggest infrastructure being the largest private university in India so it definitely gives access to the companies and positions that other universities can never do. Some of the main recruiters are Capgemini, Wipro, L & T, DXC Technology and many more. SRM Institute of Science and Technology has been ranked as 24 by NIRF 22 and 3 by TIMES 21. This college provides the highest package of Rs. 1 crore and the topic recruiter is Linkedin. Apart from this, this companies visit the campus such as Amazon, PayPal, Google, IBM, Walmart, Philips, Bank of America, Wipro and many more.

Hello Vidhaan, The decision to select a university to study is quite important and tough as well. And I would usually like to avoid the issues of university comparison. But since the question is asked with rectitude and I will write with absolute sincerity as it can influence future of a student. It is a vital step in the career path of a student to choose the right university. To better their chances of having a decent career, many students get a degree. It must be noted that not all universities are good for all the programmes, you have not mentioned the programme you want to take admission in, and so the answer should go to universities in general. I think studying in a private university provides so many opportunities to a student. They are more diligent and offer priority to the management of time. Private university students have a range of opportunities to study abroad and opportunities to be interested in campus organizations. They have exchange programmes for students, internships in foreign countries, etc. Before selecting among these two universities, make a comparison considering few very important factors. 1. Faculty 2. Curriculum 3. Professional Enhancement Activities 4. Ranking and Accreditation 5. International Tie-Ups 6. Alumni And the most important factor is Placements. This is a good question. But, unless and until we study or visit a college personally, we cannot give any guarantee on the lab facilities available there as each one of us have different parameters to call something best. So, I don't want to talk about any other colleges. I studied at AVIT. So I can share my opinion on it. At AVIT, we have 7 engineering departments. Bio-Technology Biomedical Engineering Civil Engineering Computer Science Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Electrical & Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering Each department has its dedicated well-equipped spacious labs. All the facilities are available.

Being a alumni of Lovely professional University, I would say, As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. Well, when I compare the LPU with other universities them I find it is best as compared to other universities. The quality of education at LPU for CSE branch is amazing. Proper quality study material is provided by the college which is available both online and offline. The faculty members are well renowned in the field and they keep you up to date in terms of syllabus and the latest industry trends too. Being a CSE student, I usually approach them after my classes to get my queries resolved or to discuss any projects or workshops I am a part of and they readily extend the courtesy. The biggest advantage is that we get projects on each and every topic which is industry-oriented and help us to learn about industry the latest trends. As LPU is one of the renowned name so many companies like HCL, Oracle, Adobe keeps on conducting there workshops. The workshops really help us to be industry ready. You can also apply for internships in these companies too. LPU makes sure that by the time placement season kicks in you have exposure in all the relevant section of CSE. Also, The placements in LPU is quite good as Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc. Big companies & other multinational & national companies come for the campus placements. The average package is 13 LPA, however few of our seniors have also landed a package of 64 LPA from GOOGLE company.
