Well in my opinion, I will recommend Lovely Professional University. LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. SRM is better than LPU. Apart from it, In Punjab and Chandigarh, Indo Global Colleges located near Chandigarh is very good campus for CSE. If you can get SRM main campus, then go for it. Else, in terms of fee structure offered LPU is better as well studies are also good.

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT, commerce, arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .
