Dear,
You need not to worry about the trend in the field of engineering. It is only your interest that will take you ahead and help you to excel. As far as selection of branch is concerned, you have to look where your interest lies and please do select that branch only. I have seen many of friends regretting their branch selection just because they wanted to follow the trend. Every branch has its own scope and importance. So buddy rather than bothering about trend bother where your interest lies and choose that branch.
Good luck.

CAT is mainly about self study and dedication. But they will provide you the proper material to self study. Go for these two only.

Hi Armaan,
Both MAT and CAT are entrance examinations that management colleges accept. There are several institutes which accept both. Both are fairly popular as well. However CAT is the exam which helps you most and is accepted by the best B-Schools in India. On the other hand MAT is the easier version. Since you have chosen to prepare please focus on CAT only, it covers the preparation for MAT. Talking about the difficulty levels CAT is more challenging and hence bears several advantages over MAT. I'll make things easier for you by recommending you Ravi Handa's coachingOnline CAT Coaching Classes - MBA 2016that is conducted over the
