Vels University which is also formally known as Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies is a private university that offers degree programmes at various undergraduate, post graduate and doctorate levels. These degree programmes are majorly offered in the field of engineering, technology and sciences. Minimum Eligibility Criteria for all courses
The general eligibility criteria for admissions to the undergraduate engineering programmes offered at Vels University states that the candidates need to complete their 10+2 with a minimum of 45-50 % marks in the qualifying examination from a recognised board. For the candidates seeking admission to the post graduate degree programmes will have to complete their graduation with a minimum of 50-60% marks from the recognised university. The candidates planning to pursue engineering or Science courses will also have to study physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects in +2 and graduation. Eligibility to which is B.Sc. degree with the subjects like Zoology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Biotechnology or an equivalent degree in a science stream with 60% of marks from a recognized board.
M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a 2-year postgraduate course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry- the study of drugs and drug development. The discipline includes concepts and processes of drug discovery, delivery, absorption, metabolism, and such. Pharmaceutical Chemistry also involves elements of Biomedical Analysis, Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacodynamics.
