Hi Saurabh,
As your rank is very low, it seems difficult to get into any good colleges through GATE. However, I would suggest you to try with some state level Universities or Private Universities which conduct their own Entrance or require that the students have appeared for GATE. Few of the Institutes you may try are: Gujarat technical University, Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology etc.

Hi Varsanipanku,
If by external MBA you mean part time or distance MBA you can opt for Symbiosis SCDL, Balaji Institute of Modern Management, MIT Institute etc. in Pune. In Gujarat you can check with Gujarat University or IGNOU.

The most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing your subject option is your own interests and career aspirations. As far as Engineering is concerned there are hardly any fields in engineering which would be without Physics & Chemistry even fields like Computer Science would include Physics as a subject. However, few of the fields which you may consider are Biotechnology, Agricultural Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, & Clinical Research, etc.
I would like to add here that as you dont have interest in Physics & Chemistry you can opt for a subject like Economics and get into fields related to it. Management could be another good option for you.

Firstly it commendable that you are seriously thinking to pursue higher education and that too in continuation to your career and are keen to prepare for the GATE but then why would you want to pursue a correspondence course.
Anyways, with GATE, you are eligible to take up Masters through regular mode. But as you are keen to opt for the M.Tech through correspondence, you may refer to the following link:

As Shiksha is an education portal which believes in giving unbiased guidance, it would be unfair on my part to give my personal opinion or judgment. However, VVISM College is an AICTE approved college.
Few of the things which you should keep in mind while choosing your Institute are: First and foremost the recognition of the Institute (the institute must be recognized by UGC or AICTE), Secondly, the course curriculum and the study material, the infrastructure, the faculty(their educational background), the placement, last but not least Institutes reputation in the job market. To judge all these things I would suggest you to visit the institute and try and talk to the current batch students and Faculty members, also try and get few of the alumnae contacts and talk to them. This will give you a real picture about the institute.

Well you are in a real situation to make a serious choice between your interest and your stream. Providing any particular information would be quite difficult as the decision lies with you entirely however, i would suggest you with the information that both the options are good and shall hold great prospects ahead.
Also it is always better to take up a career course which will involve your 100% conviction and determination.
