GIBS Business School (GIBS Bangalore) is an average college. There are other good B-schools for pursuing MBA but getting admission into a good college depends on your percentile. Based on your score you can apply accordingly.

You can't get a good college without giving any test. All the top colleges require you to give a certain test CAT, XAT, etc. If you don't want to give an entrance test then you can opt for private colleges but don't expect good placements.

As of today, any kind of gap in education or your career, has to be justified. You have not mentioned the reason for the gap. You can definitely look at taking time off, to prepare for the CAT exam and ensure that you score a minimum of 99 percentile. You have to necessarily target the top 30 B Schools in India. A word of caution. CAT is a highly unpredictable exam, in terms of the pattern. It keeps on changing, year to year. Unshakable faith in your skill sets, will make you a winner

Dear Palash,
My experience in this college is really very good as in a lot of practical exposure to the corporate world. I can see the change in myself in 6 month as i have joined in august 2016. Not only studies but we also had industrial visit to TATA Motors, NDA. Every Saturday we have guest lectures from the corporate. This in turn helps us to know about how the corporate works and what do they demand from us as an employee. We have communication classes which did help grooming our self. The other thing is that the classes that we have are all case study based classes. We are provided with references of books to be used which are av

First of all, you need to ask yourself why you wish to pursue mba/pgdm? once you get to the core of it, shortlist institutes which provide good placement opportunities, ROI, learning environment and exposure etc. as far as Pune region is concerned, IMDR provides one with just that!

As I am also pursuing PGDM from PIBM, so according to your concern, I can give you the better picture about my college. So, I will tell you that the teaching methodology is very good here. Infra and other things are also well here. The placement is 99%, 1% goes to entrepreneur. So, I can say it is the one of the best b-school of India and you can also get the ranking by doing Google.
