Without clearing the GATE exam you can get admission to the Ph.D. course. Several universities like the National Institute of Technology (NITs), and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) conduct their own exams and interview. The minimum criteria are 55 percent marks in M.Tech. Students have to clear entrance tests conducted by Universities, the NIT (National Institute of Technology), and the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology). IIT JAM and GATE Exam are national-level entrance exams for post-graduate programs at IITs, NITs, and IISc Bangalore. Section A: Total Number of Questions and Their Type; 30 MCQ. Marking scheme:
1/3 of marks will be deducted For 1 mark question.
2/3 marks will be deducted For 2 marks questions. Section B: Total Number of Questions and Their Type: 10 MCQ. There is no negative marking. Section C: Total Number of Questions and Their Type; 20 Numerical Answer Types (NAT). There is no negative marking. Total Questions: 60. Total Marks: 100
