** Candidate must have completed B.Sc or BCA with minimum 60% in aggregate with Maths as a compulsory subject.

The teaching jobs are divided in two categories:-
1. Schools
2. Colleges
As a school teacher, you are required to be B.Ed. but if you are only graduate then you will not progress beyond PRT (primary) post. In schools, further posts are TGT(middle & high school) and PGT (higher secondary) posts for which PG is must. If in future, you aspire to be a Principal then doctorate, administrative skills and man-management is mandatory. The various skills, as mentioned, can be learnt by actively participating in various school activities and no separate course is required to be pursued.
In colleges, posts start from Lecturer, Asst Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Dean and Principal/Director. For college jobs B.Ed is not required unless you want to teach in B.Ed. college where to teach, M.Ed. is compulsory. For government college jobs, you have to be PG and must qualify UGC-NET exam. Beyond Asst. Prof post, you require to pursue doctorate, otherwise you can not progress further.

Delhi University Common Aptitude Test (DU CATE) is one of the prominent tests conducted by the university, for admission to undergraduate programs of English language and literature offered by its affiliated colleges.
The Examination is divided into two parts:
1)Objective Type: It consists of questions on Vocabulary, Grammar and Literary Knowledge. 50 marks
2)Subjective Type: To test candidate's aptitude for Literature, Analysing Skills, Creativity and Imagination of students.

I would recommend you to study HSC (10+2) syllabus of the English subject, thoroughly. The focus should be mainly on grammar and literature. And also concentrate on areas like Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, Jumbled paragraph, Sentence correction, Comprehension, Syllogism, Grammar, etc.
