As the CAT registration keeps on changing it would not be possible to give the exact registration fee for this year, however, last year it was Rs.1400/- for General student and Rs.700/- for SC/ST.
As far as the fees for coaching Institutes is concerned the fee structure varies from Institutes to Institute, however, for a good Coaching institute like Career Launcher, IMS etc. it ranges between Rs. 28,000/ to Rs. 35,000/- whereas for lower rung institutes it would be between Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 25,000/-

I suggest you to do the diploma rather than going for the +2. Because, diploma will make you employable in 3 years and the subjects there are very similar to the +1,+2. This can be a nice option for you.

Although, WBUT is a good University and student passed out from this University would definitely stand a chance to get good Job opportunities with in West Bengal. However, I would like to agree with Manish on the placement aspect that it would largely depend on the individuals capabilities, performance on the programme & how you use the knowledge earned at the time of placements as all the good Universities try and bring best of companies on their campuses.
