Opt for engineering branch that you love the most and are most passionate about and analyze the future work conditions, scope and growth prospects before taking admission.
You can also opt for psychometric test comprising of Aptitude, personality and career interest to clear confusion.

It's on you, if you are interested in coding and IT industry, then go with BCA and if you are good enough in Maths, then go with B.Com and if you are interested in management sector, then go with BBA. B. M. is a DU course, it is not provided in IPU. So, if you are thinking of B. M. course so if you are thinking of DU, then go with B. M. or B.Com honors
if you are good in accounts and can do hard work, then go with CA.

Last year, it was 384 for CSE and 346 for mechanical at Pilani campus. So, as the cut-off marks increase each year, this year, the cut-off may be 385-390 for CSE and for mechanical, it may be 350.
In case of Goa and Hyderabad, it is enough if you score 350 to get mechanical and CS. These are from my side, but no one can predict the exact cut off marks until they are released officially by the BITS admin.
The following link gives you the cut-off marks for the year 2016.

All the best.

Well, firstly there is no separate entrance test for this institute since it is a central government funded institute. All admissions to the B.Tech program is purely based on your JEE rank. Further there is 50% home state quota. So if you intend to study CS here and you are from MP then your JEE rank should be around 8,000, and for other state it may be around 5,000. For other branches also your JEE rank should not exceed 18,000-20,000.Thanks.

Manish, both the fields are entirely different and good in their own way. But B.Tech is going to be a better option as computers/ information technology is being applied and used in every field these days. It has more and better job options.
As for the institution, LPU is a brand in itself. It has been ranked as one of the best universities by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its placements, its pedagogy, its faculty, to mention a few.
The university leaves no stone unturned to shape the future of its students. It is definitely the first choice of both national and international students.

While selecting, you need to check the chief point that is recognition. Selection of the institute is purely and entirely your decision. It would be tough to state an institute as the best as every institute has its own plus and minus points.

You didn't fail. It was just a matter of few questions and speed which made others to score more than you and you can achieve the same by practice and hard work. And if you are talking about SGSITS then it depends on your rank, category, branch you wanna opt, etc. I will personally suggest that avoid taking admission in BM. Rest depends on your interest. For general category male, normally, the closing rank is around 40,000, still if you want admission then you can try your luck in the college level counselling.
