UPSC exams are very tough and require a lot of hard work and dedication. It is not so that you will require a safe career as a back support but yes to be eligible for the Civil Services, you will require to be a graduate degree holder from a recognized University.
Being a graduate the minimum eligibility will help you in future as well even if you couldn't make it through the UPSC exams as this is the base of education on which you can pursue higher education.
More than anything else, i would advise you to be confident on you hard work and start preparing for the UPSC exams keeping marginal time in hand so that you are able to analyze

The Success rate actually depends upon the level of preparation. Since you are interested in IAS, i would like to say that their are two stages that you need to clear- preliminary exam and main exam. In order to prepare for IAS the minimum requirement is graduation from a recognized university and the age group is 21-30yrs. For your preparation i would suggest you to first join a good coaching center so that you have the relevant study material to start your preparation. I will suggest you to go with CBFA, As lots of MBA students prefer to go to Banking sector and now a days various banks have opened their own Fraud Control and Risk Containment Units so Bank forensic accounting course will give you the complete idea that how to prevent, detect and investigate the frauds in this sector.
