Hi Harsha,
Firstly to join any of the IITs, the eligibility and admission process would vary according to the course that you would want to pursue. If you are looking for B.tech courses then you need to write IIT -JEE post the completion of 12th with Science + Maths and about a minimum of 60% for eligibility, if you are keen to go for Masters then a similar graduate degree is required from a recognized University. If its M.tech courses you need to qualify GATE exam, if MCA then you need to qualify the JAM exam and for MBA its JMET exam.
I would advise you to specify your course intend that you want to opt from the IITs.

yes it is allowed by cbse. but depends on the school too,if the school offer no other subject thanbio then there is no option.otherwise u can take bio in 11th but not in 12th .but in my view it will not be a wise decision .u should take the subject in 11th which u will carry in 12th. it will benefit u in future.

Hi harsha,
In most of the cases, it is not possible to change your subjects in 12th from what was opted in 11th, yet I would suggest you to contact your school's admission department or the counseling cell as they would be able to help you better.
