Indian engineering sevices conduct exams based on main core branch CIVIL ENGINEERING,MECHANICAL ENGINEERING,ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING and ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. Your engineering branch should be subbranch of mechanical engg. so if syllabus of your branch covers mechanical engg. syllabus than you can definitely appear that exam. otherwise you have to learn additional subjects to appear in exam.
