    Hello,
Both streams are distinct in their own way. But B.Sc. Biotechnology has more expanded horizons than B.Sc. Microbiology since it covers many different subjects in its graduate programme which thus makes many options available after graduation to apply for M.Sc.

According to me, you can go for biotechnology because there is one advantage, if you choose microbiology then your field will be limited and in biotechnology, your field will become vast. If you want to make a career in biotechnology you can do Master's degree from the reputed college called IIT by giving one entrance exam called IIT JAM.

Both the streams have their own scope and it depends on your interest that which stream you choose. But, I will suggest you B.Sc. Biotechnology because it has more scope than microbiology. Microbiology is a part of biotechnology only. So, you should opt for B.Sc. Biotechnology.

B.Sc in biotechnology is better, because lots of people want to use different type of medicine and their own salts. You can prepare yourself for other people according to your interest. Technology is more scoping today and in coming future and is demanding in market.
