Hi Fosom,
I really do not see there to be a problem in a girl to pick up a career in networking as the stream is not gender bias, all that matters is one's education and the skills developed.
To pursue a career in the field of Networking, you can definitely look forward to pursuing Cisco certifications, Microsoft certifications, Novell etc. Of these definitely Cisco is seen as a giant to provide the most latest and updated technologies.

I would request you to mention your score and also for which stream you gave the entrance and looking ahead for admissions.
As for the institute cut offs are concerned, this is difficult to be said in accuracy as the same varies each session and differs from one institute to another.
However, you require to apply to the institutes on the basis of your assumption , you can contact the institutes directly to inquire about the same.

Well, if you want admission in good universities with a strong brand value, you are required to take the SAT and TOEFL. You will mostly find non accredited universities or colleges where there would be no SAT requirement.
