If you are aiming for UPSC then I would suggest you to opt for DTU as ECE/EE branch in DTU is an evergreen branch with an overwhelming response from its students in innovation/placement. Also, you will get sufficient time to prepare for UPSC.

This is the right time to prepare for and decide for IAS as well.You have enough time to prepare. But you can apply for the exam only after finishing your graduation.
Eligibility criteria:
- Indian Citizenship
- Graduation from a Govt. recognized university.
- Age of 21 to 30 years.
- If you are OBC and SC/ST category then you have age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.
You are in the first year so you have enough time to prepare for IAS.
Note: On this, my advice you is don't be in the wrong impression of having ample of time, so you will make out this easily. UPSC having hardly 1000 vacancies for all

Both fields have better scope in future. If I have to select any one from both then I will opt for VFX because, in India, VFX has more scope than 3D animation.
