Well for most of the government organizations the preference is given to the Bachelor degree holders rather than the diploma holders but then it will only depend on the job profile and the eligibility required to apply for the post.

It is difficult to get a government job with a Diploma through NIIT, as most of the Government Organizations prefer students with a recognized degree in Engineering. However, you can check with few of the govt. organizations for the acceptability of your Diploma.

Although, there is no compulsion that you need to have an IATA approved certificate to get into ground jobs but, if you have done a Diploma or a certificate from any of the IATA approved Institute like Sita World Academy, it would definitely be an add - on to your resume. However, if you are planning for MBA in Aviation Management which is rarely available you probably would not require any other Certificate or Diploma course but do check the validity of your MBA as in it should a recognized course.

As you are an engg diploma holder, you have a benefit of pursuing degree in engg through lateral entry i.e. in 3 years but as you are not keen to pursue engg, you can take up any other bachelor degree from an open University offering Correspondence education.
