You will be eligible for Lecturership only when you clear the NET exam. This is held twice a year (in June and in Dec). You should apply for it immediately. There is no age limit of it and neither the number of appearance are limited for this exam. But clearing NET is now mandatory for Lecturership.

The Physical components of the System are the Hardware and there are many courses available by which you can pursue a career in the same.
Hardware and Networking are an interconnected discipline and there are many certified courses that one can opt for like CISCO certifications- CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft - MCSE, MCSA, etc.

Your past result shows that regular studies might not be a good option in your case, atleast as of now. In order to gain confidence and also persue on your chosen path, I would advice you to go for MBA through distance education mode from Symbiosis Pune. They have flexible exam dates and the exams are to be given online. You would gain in confidence as you begun clearing the papers one by one.

Go for a PG in Petroleum Technology or any specific mechanical area to specialize. Most IIT's and REC's also have these PG programs.
