Thapar Institute of Engineering and technology (deemed to be University) is one of the best and most prestigious Engineering institute in India. Thapar Institute of Engineering and technology ranked 23 in india by NIRF Government of India rankings. CSE department of Thapar is one of the best department of india. I would have chosen CSE in SRM, Chennai over LPU Thapar University, because SRM is one of the reputed universities in India with good number of companies visiting for recruitment. It is also one of the top ranked institute in India with availability of all basic facilities and amenities placements are also the best as compare to LPU. MNC do visit in SRM for campus recruitment and they do offers best packages for students.

For B.Tech CSE course, I would recommend you to choose Lovely Professional university, I have idea about this University as My brother has completed same course from LPU and got placed in Amazon. I am sharing few points from his experience:-
Certainly, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. Well, the study of CSE in LPU is very good. Curriculum in CSE branch is very well designed such that they can learn everything from basics to the in-depth knowledge of their field. The College takes them for the industrial visit for more growth and experience. It hands on experience by also working on live projects to develop a sense of problem-solving, and critical thinking in order to gain real-life understanding along with skill enhancement.
