Not in all colleges. Colleges like XLRI conduct their own entrance test i.e. XAT. XIMB accepts both CAT and XAT score. You can look for the colleges that accept MAT score.

Yes, if you are interested to take the brand name of IIMs or interested to take admission in IIMs or MDI GURGAON and a few others. Lots of other good and decent business schools are accepting the XAT score as well.

    Hello,
CAT becomes an integral part when it comes to admission for MBA. But there are many renowned universities/ colleges that also conducts their own exam. But due to COVID-19, all the examinations are with held. So, now it is a halt time for most of the graduates. But few of the universities have come up with best way out and opened up their doors for prospective students. One such university is Lovely Professional University. You will be glad to know that LPU has relaxed it's eligibility criteria due to COVID-19.Being an Alumni, I can say Choosing LPU for my MBA was one of my best decision. It is not mandatory to qualify CAT for MB

SK CAT is not important or the only test for admission to MBA. The other tests are XAT, MAT, GMAT etc. Other than this, many universities admit students directly on the basis of their marks in graduation or GDPI or their own tests.
These days, many private universities have earned a good name for themselves in the field of education. Some of them have very good infrastructure, learned faculty and good placements. There are universities that have made education affordable for all by offering good scholarships to students.
For more information, you can check the websites of some good universities like LPU, MMU, SRM, etc.
    Good luck.
