Is CAT important to take admission in any MBA course?

CAT is not mandatory to get admission in LPU for MBA. LPU is quite eminent for the MBA. You can do MBA in different streams like Financial markets, International Business, Tourism and hospitality, Banking and insurance, E-Commerce, Fintect, Business Analytics, etc. So you can choose any of the above-revealed streams according to your area of interest. Eligibility for MBA is Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (any discipline) or equivalent and Interview or Completed Company Secretary CS from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Completed Chartered Accountancy CA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). .

Responding to your query, I wish to inform that on inquiring, I came to know that the eligibility to take admission in MBA programme is: 55% + Interview or Completed Company Secretary CS from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Completed Chartered Accountancy CA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) So, even if you have not given any test, still you can plan to take admission in LPU by appearing in interview*Interview will be conducted to check the communication skills, general knowledge, fluency, critical thought etc. It is mandatory to get atleast 50% to take admission in regular MBA and for elite programme like Honours and some specialised MBA the eligibility norms are little stringent. LPU offers three types of MBA I. e. 1. Normal MBA (six trimesters) with specialisations as Marketing, Finance and HR 2. Specialised MBA I. e MBA (Financial Markets), MBA (Supply Chain), MBA (International Business), MBA (HHM), MBA (Business Analytics) and MBA (Tourism and Hospitality) 3. MBA (Hons) which is a purely residential programme. If any student who has completed his/her Chartered Accountant, he has the option of doing MBA in Corporate Affairs, Corporate Audit and Tax Management or Cost Management and Financial Analysis. After meeting the eligibility norms, you can proceed for admission and can take better slabs of scholarship by taking early decision to take admission so no CAT/MAT/XAT is required but if given then scholarship may be applicable. She also told that university provides financial assistance to the students by floating scholarship on the following basis: 1. On the basis of marks in previous class 2. LPUNESTThe University is conducting remotely proctored online LPU NEST from home since month of May and will also continue same in June. 3. Performance on the basis of sports, cultural/Co-curricular 5. Defence 4. Board Toppers 5. Orphan and disability basis 6. National Level Test CAT MAT etc. This year the university has announced COVID-19 scholarship which is a good initiative by LPU *Any one scholarship with maximum will be offered In order to be the part of LPU, plan the admission at the earliest Hope it helps.

Hi, CAT and CMAT are the criteria for admission in some of the colleges like JBIMS, MDI, IMT Ghaziabad etc. Besides this there are some other good colleges which are giving an equally good level of educational inputs. Such institutions have their own entrance exams followed by an interview. You can check on LPU which is ranking high on the popularity scale as the most promising university by India Today ranking it at 6th positions and also has received the award for best placements. It has LPUNestYou can check on ANNA and CHRIST colleges which have their TANCET to clear before entering their MBA courses So selected colleges take admission for MBA on the basis of CAT and there are other equally good colleges too having their own entrance exams. If you want admission at top 30 colleges of India, then CAT is helpful. Otherwise many colleges have their own national level entrance tests like LPU NEST for Mittal school of business, SNAP for Symbiosis etc.

CAT is an entrance exam and if you can't take the CAT exam then try out any other entrance exam like MAT, XAT or CMAT.

For IIM, CAT is the only option. Rest, you can give another exam, too, if you want to join good private colleges.

They should have cleared any one entrance test accepted by various colleges and should also have minimum of 45% to 55% in their Bachelors for admission in the same.

No, There are many other exams which you can take to take admission in an MBA course. Exams like MAT SNAP XAT IPSAT, IIFT. CAT is important to take admission in colleges like IIM and other top colleges.
